CHINA OUT TO DRY

China Out to Dry is a visual ethnography that unpacks how the everyday behavior of drying things varies across the most populous country in the world. From clothing to food to tools, the common thread of use and consumption for so many of things people interact with daily is the need for them to be dried. This book explores the many ways and places in which things are put out to dry, and explores the multitude of factors influencing the evolution of this deceptively simple task.
